I’ve seen many people posting about blogmas, and I want to join in on the fun. I found an old post on Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom with a list of Blogmas posts that I’m going to use. The link is here https://familycorner.blogspot.ca/2014/11/blogmas-2014-25-days-of-christmas.html?m=1
Here is the list:
I’m so excited about Blogmas!
I will also be doing my own 12 Days of Christmas, where I will post a review for a Christmas themed book in the 12 days leading up to Dec. 25. This is a busy month for blogging!
So without further ado, here’s my post for day 1 of Blogmas!
When I was little, Christmas was my favourite day of the year because I got to see my entire family in one day. In the morning, we would visit my dad’s family at my Nana’s house. Then we would go home and open our own presents. And for dinner we would go to my mom’s parent’s house for dinner.
Unfortunately, now that I’ve grown up, many people have moved to different cities so it’s not possible to see everyone in one day anymore. But it was a nice tradition when I was a kid.
What is your favourite Christmas tradition?
I love seeing family on Christmas too! My favorite Christmas traditions are that we always do a big breakfast and when we’re done with that we get to the presents. and then we all went off to enjoy our presents. The second day of Christmas is when we go see our families.(yes that is a real thing here)

Great blogmas prompts! There are so many xmas traditions I love and cherish but I think my favorite one has to be putting up the tree with my mom. I relate so much to your current situation, though. My family is spread around all over the world, so now we have to do with FaceTime or Skype. 🙂

That’s cute. What would we do without Skype! Lol

We don’t do Christmas much anymore, or at least standard Christmas traditions. Our typical Christmas the past several years is to go out for Chinese food and then go see a movie. I don’t know how everything is going to work out this year exactly. Right now my boyfriend and I are scheduled for Christmas Eve with my mom, Christmas morning with his dad and stepmom, and then Christmas day/evening with his mom’s side of the family. So I think new traditions are going to be forming.

That sounds fun. Sometimes it’s easier to just stay home and relax because it can get soooo busy when you try to see everyone around the holidays.

Well my mom’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving so she can reschedule any other holiday and not mind, but Thanksgiving is practically sacred for her.
